My friend Giusy  from the Rocco Forte Collection (Savoy, Florence  & de Russie, Rome – among others) was in the office this morning along with Samara, our U.S. representative for all the hotels.  Here’s a  short report on what’s happening with this wonderful group of hotels.
I love small hotel collections for a few reasons, among them:

  1. The hotels themselves are typically not cookie-cutter and the owner has invested heavily to make them beyond fabulous.
  2. They’re small so the level of attention you can expect is exceptional.
  3. Their sales staff is small so the level of attention they give me which I can give to you is also exceptional.
  4. They throw perks on me and you, so the value is something you cannot get on your own.

The Rocco Forte Collection is one of these few small ‘chains’ or better called collections.  And I’m happy to advise that our agency has been named one of only 25 in North America with these extra special privileges for our clients:

  • Space available upgrade on arrival, with a higher than typical priority
  • Space available early check-in & check-out
  • Food & beverage credit
  • Priority waitlist [for those hard to get dates]
  • No walk policy.  You’ll never be turned away.

Rocco Forte Collection | Partial List

Browns, London;  Balmoral, Edinburgh; Amigo, Brussels (a former prison); Astoria, St. Petersburg; Villa Kennedy, Frankfurt (near the airport, a former private residence);  de Rome, Berlin (an old bank); Charles, Munich (new); Augustine, Prague (actually still a working monastery); Abu Dhabi (wow, it’s modern!)
Tip for Frankfurt layovers (going to India?) Try day use if you’re connecting for a 3+ hour layover. Use the spa, and relax and they’ll pick you up.

Savoy Hotel Florence
Savoy Hotel Florence

Rocco Forte Italy

Of course my specialty is Italy (I used to live there).  Let me plan a fabulous bespoke itinerary for you.
Verdura Golf & Spa Resort, Sicily |  Day trips to Palermo, Agrigento, Erice, Trapani. It’s a new resort & very chic with imported Tunisian sand.
Savoy, Florence | Was just here and it’s an homage to the shoe!  (Ask me about that). Great very central location. Modern chic. Very Florentine.
de Russie, Rome | Incredible location near the Spanish Steps (former KGB HQ) ; its own garden; very contemporary but with very ancient touches.  And the blue mosaic spa is stunning.
