I’ve posted blogs in the past from my Ritz Carlton sales rep extraordinaire Jeremy. Here’s his latest, just in case anybody reading this is headed there next week, maybe for the DNC Convention?
Little known fact about Washingtonians….while we all like living in D.C……we LOVE getting out of DC; and there is no better escape than Philadelphia.
This week I visited customers in Philadelphia and was able to enjoy the newly renovated Ritz-Carlton.  Perfectly located at 10 Avenue of the Arts, the hotel combined historic architecture with modern comfort and décor aesthetic.  A recent guest room and public spaces renovation is simply stunning…I mean…beyond stunning!!
With a nod to the buildings heritage as a former bank building, “the color of money” was expertly woven through many facets of the design concepts for all 299 guest rooms and suites.  The crème-de-le crème is the famous Ritz-Carlton Suite that is only accessible by private elevator from the Club Floor and has panoramic views of all Philadelphia.  Truly…you basically are looking right at the statue of William Penn’s statue at the top of City Hall!
Finally, the addition of a Richard Sandoval restaurant named Aqimero features a super creative fusion of Asian and Latin flavors.  Please see photos attached!
As you may have guessed by now based upon the content of previous blogs…but I love to travel for culture and Philadelphia is one of those cities that fly just below the radar sandwiched between New York and Washington, DC…but has so very much to offer guests of all ages.  I wanted to take a minute and list a few of the options available for guests in Philadelphia:

  • Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell!!  This is an absolute must visit for your Americana customers
  • Redding Terminal: Operating since 1892, this indoor foodie paradise is a one-stop shop for everything from local produce and meats to artisanal cheeses and incredibly delicious desserts and baked goods.
  • Declare your own “Best in Class” cheesesteak with visits to John’s Roast Pork, Tony Luke’s or Pat’s King of Steaks
  • Philadelphia Museum of Art: Housed in an iconic building constructed like the Parthenon, the vast collections comprised make this spectacular venue the third largest art museum in the country.  It doesn’t hurt to be able to run the Rocky steps as well!  Soundtrack not included  J

As always, I  wish you Happy Travels!
